OUR TEAM

At Fundación Osa Mayor, everyone is part of the team, from our Council and operational collaborators to our volunteers and the women who participate in our programs.
We work through a circular and reciprocal model. We believe that everyone has something to contribute, and that everyone, at different moments in life, may also need care, support, knowledge or community.
The roles of giver and receiver are not fixed. A woman may come to us seeking support and later become a volunteer, apprentice, teacher or leader. A team member may, at another moment, need the same community to hold and support her.
This reciprocity is at the heart of who we are, we give, we receive, we learn, we teach, and we grow together.

Orgnizational chart
Our organizational structure reflects how we work, in a circular relationship but clear in responsibility. Rather than a traditional top-down hierarchy, Osa Mayor is organized in interconnected circles of responsibility, knowledge and care.
matricouncil
The Council of Matriarchs is the core leadership body of Fundación Osa Mayor, holding the highest level of institutional responsibility while also carrying key executive functions.
Its members safeguard the Foundation’s mission, values and long-term direction; oversee institutional and financial accountability; coordinate programs, resources and partnerships; and ensure that our work remains rooted in the communities and principles we serve.
At our current stage of growth, Council members often hold multiple responsibilities — from governance and strategic planning to education, community work, fundraising and program coordination. As the Foundation grows, operational responsibilities will increasingly be shared with dedicated program Guardians, project leaders and paid collaborators.
